Witness by Reel Human — Terms of Service

Welcome to Witness by Reel Human (the “App”), operated by Reel Human LLC (“Reel Human,” “we,” “our,” or “us”). By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1) Use of the App

• The App is provided as a Proof of Concept (POC) to demonstrate cryptographic signing of captured media.
• You may use the App for personal, non‑commercial purposes, subject to these Terms and applicable law.
• You are responsible for your conduct and any media you create using the App.

2) Intellectual Property

• The App, underlying technology, and associated content are owned by Reel Human LLC and protected by applicable laws.
• “Witness,” “Reel Human,” and related marks are trademarks of Reel Human LLC.
• You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or distribute the App except as permitted by law.

3) User Content

• You retain ownership of photos and videos you capture.
• The App embeds metadata (e.g., signatures, timestamps) into media files to attest authenticity; you control these files.
• You are solely responsible for ensuring your content complies with applicable laws and does not infringe others’ rights.

4) Third‑Party Services

The App may interact with platform services (e.g., device storage, share sheets). Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.

5) Limitations of Service

• The App is early‑stage and may include bugs or interruptions.
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the App at any time without notice.

6) Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non‑infringement.

7) Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Reel Human LLC shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages arising from or relating to your use of the App. Your sole and exclusive remedy is to stop using the App.

8) Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Reel Human LLC from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

9) Termination

We may suspend or terminate access to the App at any time if we believe you have violated these Terms or applicable law.

10) Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules.

11) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Effective Date” above. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance.
